Company Background

Kenmare Salmon was founded in 1991 by Remy Benoit following a management buyout of a common subsidiary of the Old Kenmare Fisheries and Kealincha Salmon farm in the South West of Ireland. With expansion over the years, Kenmare Salmon is now one of the leading Irish smoked salmon processor and exporter, shipping every week throughout Europe in seven different countries.

The premises comprises of 1,200 m2 (in line with 91/493 EEC) and a team of 15 to 50 highly skilled workforce allow the company to work in shift at peak season with a maximum capacity of 2,000kg/day of smoked products (1/2 hand sliced).

Kenmare Salmon has won the National Hygiene Award in 1984, 1985 & 1989.
